Six Freedoms
There is a fine line between laws necessary to maintain our state and communities, and laws which attempt to impose on all of us one particular ideology, faith or way of life. The Six Freedoms are a starting point for discussions of all legislation.
Speech
Government censorship of speech, books and other forms of expression is an assault on our most important right.
Worship
Religious beliefs should not be forced on us. We must protect every person's right to worship consistent with their beliefs by strengthening separation of church and state.
Want
In the most prosperous nation in history nobody should suffer from hunger, homelessness or lack of healthcare.
Fear
The politics of fear ultimately divides us. The politics of hope and community unites us.
Individualism
We are all God's children. "Different" if God's gift to humanity.
Government
Overreach
Government cannot be allowed to tell us how to live our lives.
